The 95th Rifles is one of two rifle regiments which fought for the British in the Napoleonic Wars. The other being the 60th Rifles. The Riflemen, nicknamed grasshoppers by the French, wore green jackets.

an english weapon in orgin orginally just called the infantry rifle. It is slower to load than a musket but is far more accurate thanks to spiralling grooves in the barrel which spin the bullet when the bullet is wrapped in a leather patch which grips the rifling how ever without this leather patch the weapon is less accurate than the common musket due to its shorter length
